A Somatic & Spiritual Approach:

One of the foundational principles of Ruth’s work is to root learning and the pursuit of excellence IN the embodied form. Another term for this type of work is ‘somatics’. See below for a brief explanation of some of why she chooses this approach.

Additionally she believes that satisfying, enduring, useful and accelerated transformation is only possible when one’s sense of identity extends beyond the limited self. To her - this is what true spirituality is all about.

What is the point of somatic practice?

(What are you actually doing in/with it? Why bother? What does it do?)

Somatic practice is the art of sensing your body and being present to the fullness of sensation that inevitably presents as you do that.

Why do this?

Because this incredible richness of sensation is actually a direct map to greater health, aliveness and satisfaction. This richness of sensation is experiential wisdom. Each moment you spend becoming more intimate with its dance and how to navigate this skillfully the more you increase your capacity for resilience and truly self-directed effectiveness in the world.
